310 Grams of Marshall DNA

The Willen fits in your palm. It's about the size of a thick smartphone, roughly 10 cm tall and 4 cm deep. But pick it up and it feels solid, not like a toy. The textured grille, the brass Marshall script, the control knob on the front. It looks and feels like a Marshall product that got shrunk in the wash, in the best possible way.

The single 2-inch full-range driver pushes 10 watts. That's not going to rattle windows, but it fills a kitchen, a bathroom, or a campsite with clear, balanced sound. Bass is present without being muddy, and vocals come through clean. For a speaker this small, the frequency range of 100 Hz to 20,000 Hz is genuinely impressive.

IP67: Dust, Sand, Rain, Full Submersion

Most portable speakers in this size range top out at IPX4 or IPX5. The Willen earned an IP67 rating, which means it's fully sealed against dust and can handle being submerged in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. Take it to the beach, the pool, the ski hill in Tremblant. Leave it on the dock during a rainstorm. It genuinely does not care.

Battery life on the Willen sits at 15+ hours on a single charge. That's a full day at the cottage or a long weekend of moderate use without hunting for an outlet. When you do need juice, 20 minutes on the USB-C cable gives you about 3 hours of playtime. A full recharge takes roughly 3 hours.

Bluetooth 5.1 keeps the wireless connection stable within about 10 metres. Pairing is fast and the dedicated Bluetooth button on the speaker makes switching between devices straightforward. The Marshall app (iOS and Android) opens up three EQ presets if you want to tweak the sound profile.

Built-In Mic and One-Knob Control

The multi-directional control knob on the front handles play/pause, skip, volume, and power. It's a Marshall signature, and on a speaker this small it makes more sense than fiddly buttons. You can answer and reject phone calls directly from the speaker thanks to the built-in microphone.
