23 Speakers, Four Wireless Pieces, Zero Speaker Wire

The Q990H ships as a complete 11.1.4-channel system: a 7.0.2-channel main bar with 15 drivers (including up-firing and side-firing), two 2.0.1 wireless rear speakers, and a compact wireless subwoofer with dual 8-inch opposing drivers. Everything connects wirelessly. Setup takes about 10 minutes, most of that spent deciding where to put the sub.

The main bar stretches 48.5 inches wide and sits just 2.8 inches tall, so it tucks under most 55-inch or larger TVs without blocking the IR sensor. At 7.29 kg, it’s substantial enough to stay put on a media console but comes with a wall-mount kit if you prefer that route. The rear speakers are compact enough for a bookshelf or side table, and the cube-shaped sub fits beside furniture without drawing attention.

It sounds simple, but it’s one of those things you notice every single day once you have it.

Q-Symphony 2026: Up to Five Samsung Devices Playing Together

Q-Symphony has been around for a few years, but the 2026 version is a significant upgrade. You can now pair up to five Samsung audio devices with a compatible Samsung TV, and the system analyzes room layout and device placement to optimize channel distribution across all of them. The TV speakers fire alongside the soundbar, rear speakers, and any additional Samsung speakers you add.

Wireless Dolby Atmos sends the Atmos signal from the TV to the bar over Wi-Fi, so streaming apps that output Atmos don’t need a physical HDMI connection. You still get 2 HDMI inputs for a console or Blu-ray player, plus 1 HDMI output with eARC and an optical input. The HDMI ports support 4K passthrough at 120 Hz, which matters if you game on a PS5 or Xbox Series X.

The Smart Features That Earn Their Keep

SpaceFit Sound Pro uses built-in microphones in the bar and subwoofer to map your room’s acoustics and adjust EQ and bass response automatically. Move the system to the basement rec room and it recalibrates on its own. Active Voice Amplifier Pro monitors ambient noise and content audio in real time, then pushes dialogue forward when background sound gets heavy. It’s the kind of feature that makes you wonder how you watched movies without it.

Game Mode Pro drops audio latency and auto-detects when a console powers on, so directional sound cues from the surround channels stay in sync with the action on screen. Adaptive Sound shifts the mix depending on what you’re watching. Night Mode compresses the dynamic range for late sessions so explosions don’t wake the house.
